Tips for Traveling Organization

We are in the heart of vacation season! It is so exciting to see everyone post pictures of their trips. Vacations are an excellent time to spend time with family, friends and relax! However, ineffective packing can make your traveling plans stressful!  It doesn’t have to be this way; here are some tips for getting organized for your next trip.

Tip #1 Make a list of everything you want to take, from clothing to electronics to toiletries. Unless you go to a remote place where it might be hard to find items, you can likely buy anything forgotten at your destination, but why spend precious vacation time searching if you don’t have to?

Tip #2   Consider going COO  (Carry  On Only), especially if you are going overseas and have multiple airline connections.  If you do check your bag, use air tags so you can always track your luggage.  And, always carry on at least one day's worth of clothing in your smaller bag, as well as medications and other essentials.  Great information is available online, no matter which packing method you choose. In no particular order, here are a few that I found  https://www.travelfashiongirl.com/classic-packing-list/ https://www.nomadicmatt.com/travel-blogs/packing/

Tip #3  Make sure that your passport (needed for foreign travel but also good for domestic airline travel and other id purposes) is up to date, the U.S. State Department currently has a backlog of applications, and  I have heard that it could take up to four months to get a new one.

I hope this gives some tips to optimize your space for your next trip. It is so important to stay organized when you travel so you can kick back and enjoy!

Bon voyage!
